Rob Wiles Technical Services Director Joined the Libra team in February 2014 as the Technical Manager, looking after Quality Control, New Product Development and Regulatory & Compliance departments. Promoted to Technical Services Director in September 2020 with a seat on the Board of Directors, Rob’s role is to work with the Commercial team to identify and develop new opportunities and products to meet our customer’s demands and to support the wider Libra team. Rob’s job role undergoes leading a strong, experienced, and highly skilled team of chemists to provide the best quality products and technical support for our customers and Libra colleagues.
Rob states his goals in his job role are “My goals are to maintain a safe, quality orientated site whilst at the same time delivering an excellent standard of technical support and service to all our customers.”
Robs Past experience in the Chemical Industry
Rob has had over 26 years of experience in the Chemical industry working in a variety of roles from a Lab Technician, Development Chemist, Manufacturing and Operations Manager to his present role as a Technical Services Director. Graduated with PhD in Chemistry in 1995 from the
Manchester Metropolitan University and went on to qualify as a Science Teacher from the University of Leeds in 2005. In all the roles Rob have undertaken, he states “Ive found the most important qualities are honesty and humility. I’ve benefitted from working with some exceptional people over the years, some of whom have had a profound effect on my career path. My experience allows me to make considered and informed decisions and give the best possible technical advice”.
