We are delighted to announce the launch of the Low Salt Betaine Shower Gel Formulation Guide, a landmark achievement brought to you by the collaborative efforts of Libra Speciality Chemicals Limited and our sister company, Expac (Preston) Ltd. This guide is designed for cosmetic chemists and formulators committed to developing advanced skincare solutions.
Our new Sulphate-Free formulation utilises Cocamidopropyl Betaine with reduced salt content as the primary surfactant, enhancing skin compatibility and stability without compromising the product’s effectiveness.
Low Salt Cocamidopropyl Betaines can be combined with Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate to produce a dense creamy foam. Where standard salt Betaine is used, formulations can be hazy, low viscosity, and unstable. PEG or carbomer-based viscosity modifiers are also no longer necessary in this type of surfactant system to achieve stability, clarity, and viscosity.
This guide serves as an informative resource for pushing the boundaries of cosmetic science, focusing on environmentally friendly and effective solutions.
