On the 12th of November, the packaging industry gathered to celebrate the winners of the UK Packaging Awards 2021. EXPAC was recognised for their excellence in Co-packing, fulfilment and logistics services and won Co-Packer of The Year. An achievement that would have been implausible without the amazing and supportive team effort from the GRI Group and EXPAC’s workforce.
Despite the pandemic, EXPAC has managed to rapidly adapt to the constant industry changes, for instance, stringent Covid controls have been implemented to protect their people and the business continuity. Further enhancing EXPAC’s capabilities, a multi-million-pound investment from the GRI Group in its people, was boldly employed through EXPAC’s growth strategy. It intends to enable them to acquire new sets of skills and overall develop capital assets. In return this has aided the supply chain and created a very efficient and exceptional customer service that positively impacted EXPAC’s growth. Since 2017 EXPAC has achieved a 200% growth in volume units sold, growing from 6.2 million units per annum sold to 18.5 units sold per annum in 2021.
EXPAC is excited to continue their growth in 2022 and potentially achieve more recognition for their work within the industry, especially as they are now equipped with new novel technologies and equipment such as UK-exclusive bag-in-box liquid filling lines for refill packs an essential for the sustainability of the future. Perhaps even more exciting they have also recently completed the construction of their new research and development lab, which is fully equipped with areas for stability analysis and in-house stability testing ovens to ensure client’s products are stable over their shelf life. EXPAC’s team of highly skilled chemists are eager to continue in using specialist ingredients to formulate innovative and bespoke formulations for Clients.
