After beginning my career as a chemist with one of the world’s largest chemical companies, I made the transition into sales, where I’ve spent the last 30 years working with several market leaders across various sectors.
I’m excited to have recently joined Expac (Preston) Ltd as Commercial Director. Prior to this, I had the privilege of working with Libra Speciality Chemicals Ltd, the sister company of Expac within the GRI Group Limited, where I honed my skills in International Sales.
In my first month at Expac, I’ve been truly impressed by the company’s dynamic and customer-focused culture. Expac, supported by its parent company, GRI Group, benefits from a strong foundation that allows it to adapt swiftly to both global and local market changes. It’s clear that Expac has a fantastic team, and I’m eager to support and inspire them as we continue to grow and achieve our goals together.
A thought that resonates with me is, “Business should be fun, not funny.” By keeping this mindset and delivering a first-class customer experience, I believe we’ll be well on our way to continued success.
On a personal note, I continue to enjoy long walks in the countryside with my family—especially when there’s a pub at the end—and have spent over 40 years enduring the highs and lows of supporting Middlesbrough Football Club.
